JBJ Insurance is a family-run independent insurance practice based in the Seattle area. Jeff Johnson founded JBJ Insurance in 2010, and the practice is now led by his son, Eric Johnson.
Eric Johnson
Eric took over JBJ Insurance in 2025. He is licensed in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Arizona for Medicare plans and individual health insurance, and holds an AHIP certification.
Before transitioning into the family practice, Eric’s career was in technology. He brings that background to how JBJ operates day to day: organized records, prompt written follow-up, and a process that keeps clients informed rather than guessing about their coverage.
Eric is a lifelong Washingtonian with family in the area. He works with one client at a time, on the client’s pace, with no pressure to enroll on the first call.
Jeff Johnson, Founder (Retired)
Jeff Johnson founded JBJ Insurance in 2010 after 30 years as an independent broker, both self-employed and affiliated with local, national, and international brokerage firms. He started in the industry in 1981, specializing in health insurance, and presented Medicare and public-benefits seminars across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
Jeff holds Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certifications. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and has lived in the Seattle-Tacoma area his entire life.
Jeff retired in 2026 after a 45-year career.
